Some Definitions

Pre-Liveball

This covers the age groups Under Seven through Under 10 with the exception of Under 10A.

Players in this group either play Teeball (Under 7 & 8) or Machine Ball (Under 9 & 10). Machine Ball means the ball is pitched by a machine. In RHBL that machine is, more often than not, the Zooka; an automatic pitching machine that can can deliver the balls "in the batting zone" at a set Safe speed.

Liveball

This covers the age groups Under Eleven through Under 19 with the inclusion of Under 10A.

No more batting tees or pitching machines; the ball is thrown by the pitcher.

Competition

Starts Saturday 11th September 2010.

Five/Sixes age group play non-competitive matches.
Their season usually runs for approximately 15 games, with no semi-finals or finals.

Games are played:-
The start times for Under 10 - 19 will not be known until the draw is received from RHBL.

No Juniors games start after 11.00am.

With the exception of our Under 14A's who play on Friday evenings at 6.00pm.

Seniors play some of their games on Sundays.

School Holidays

No Juniors games are played during the school holidays. Seniors also enjoy a break during school holidays, though of a shorter duration.

Training

Training during school holidays is at the discretion of your coach.
