Duty Of Care

No player it to be left alone after training or games, the coach or manager must remain until the player is picked up. You have a duty to look after the players and it is not good enough for a parent to give their permission for their child to be left unattended.

If there is a constant problem with a particular player or parent then discuss the situation with them first and advise them of the problems it creates regarding duty of care.

If you are unable to resolve the problem yourself then contact the committee.

Duty Of Care To Yourself

While fulfilling the Duty of Care to our young players please be sure to never be in the situation where you are left alone with a child other than your own.

Result Sheets

Please remember to identify your team properly on the Result Sheets. Age group and grade if applicable. In the case of Under 8 - Under 10 teams make sure you specify which division - in the 2009/2010 season it is SOUTH.

Safety

Zooka

The following applies to all ages from T-Ball through Under 16.

  • Players must wear helmets during batting practice.
  • Catchers must always wear helmets and masks during training.
  • Zookas must always be operated by an adult. They are a very useful training tool but they can also be very dangerous.

A Safety Reminder

Catcher

The Five Dock Falcons Club provides protective equipment for Catchers in all age groups.
This equipment must be worn whenever a child is engaged in the role of Catcher.
This includes games and training.
If the equipment does not fit correctly or is in need of repair please contact the club equipment manager, Ian Palmer, to arrange for replacement.
